Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

Experience with Pyxis is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Preferred: PICU, NICU experience

Experienced in other women’s health areas (labor and delivery, ob/gyn)

List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Spinal taps, Titration of critical drips: sedation/vasoactive/paralytic, Sedated MRI,EKG/EEG/Telemetry Port Access & Discontinuation, Intubation/Extubation

Floating Area(s):

May float to NICU (take low acuity) or Nursery

May float to Ob/gyn if qualified

Scrub Color/Attire - Teal

Weekends and On call(if any) Rotating weekends. May work mixed schedule of days/nights/weekends to fill scheduling holes as needed
