Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Required)

NRP (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

C-EFM (Preferred)

STABLE (Preferred)

TNCC (Preferred)

Advanced AWHONN FHM (Preferred)

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Charge and Preceptor Experience Required

First Time Traveler Accepted: Yes

Candidates must hold a CEFM or register for C-EFM during the compliance phrase or within the first two weeks of the assignment.

On Call/Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend requirement

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
