Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Must have at least 22 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Required Skills: Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Aneurysms and repair, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Lumbar drains, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Seizure disorders, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Non-invasive airway management, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

Preferred Skills: IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Feeding tube care and management, Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Intracranial bleeds, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weeknights and weekends.

Rotating holidays.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.
