Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required from last 4 years.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours 36

Shift Notes: two weekend shifts per pay period

1 year ICU and/or CVICU experience preferred

Procedures required. - Acute Care RN for patients undergoing Cardiovascular services, surgical services

Minimum 1-year PCU experience. EKG knowledge skills - IV Cardiac Medication administration. Peritoneal Dialysis, Chronic Vents, Chest Tubes, Epidural Catheters, PCA pumps, Transvenous pacing, Arterial or Venous Sheath pulling/care.

Dress Code: Scrubs Color: no black/camo, Business appropriate hair color

Float: Floats to the ICU and/or CVICU preferred so basic critical care skills - Arterial lines, sheath pulls

Unit/department specific training and orientation program: Fast paced cardiac and cardiac surgery care; patients from Cath lab w or w/o intervention, or 2-3 days PO open heart surgery. STEMI and NSTEMI, also chronic vents, Alcohol withdrawal, suicidal ideation, New BiPAP or CPAP patients, Thorocotomies, Renal disease.
