Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills / Experience: 1 year ICU experience

Work Settings: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, Pediatrics

Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI)

Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex

Care of Patient With: ARDS

Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Oxygen therapy, Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen tanks, Trach collar

Ventilator Management: BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation

Professional Knowledge and Skills: Chest Physiotherapy, Chest Physiotherapy: Vest, Drawing arterial blood gases, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nebulizer, Cold, Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Ultrasonic

Airway Management Devices/Suctioning: Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management

Preferred Skills / Experience:

Medication Delivery Systems: Medihaler

Medication Administration: Bicarbonate, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Spiriva, Tobramycin

Care of Patient With: Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, Cystic fibrosis, ECMO, Fresh tracheostomy, Pneumonia

Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: Assist in high risk delivery, High frequency jet ventilator, IMV/SIMV, Intubation Assist, Oscillating Ventilator

Ventilator Management: High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator

Care of the Infant/Child With: Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Near drowning, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Transient Tachypnea of the newborn

Shift & Scheduling: Every Other Weekend

Every Other Holiday

No On-Call

Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Floating Requirement: RRT will be covering medsurg area, responsible for CPAPs, mucokinetics, etc
