Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Infusion Center experience.
BSN completion preferred
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Work Settings Req: Infusion Center, Inpatient oncology, Outpatient oncology,
  • May screen strong MS RN candidates with 1.5 to < 2 years MS exp, who acquire that 1.5+ yrs in a steady flow (not a cumulative total across different jobs.
  • IV therapy/infusions, accessing/managing ports, administration of blood & blood products, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, infusion pump management, intravenous hydration/multivitamins, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, active immunotherapy specific/non-specific, administration of interferons, administration of interleukins, recognize/manage side effects, acute tumor lysis syndrome (ATLS), anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, management/disposal cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, oral administration of chemotherapy, recognize/communicate abnormal lab values, antibiotics, antiemetics, antitumor medications, corticosteroids, hormonal therapy, Neupogen, care of patients with bladder/kidney cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ear/nose/throat cancers, kidney cancer, leukemia/blood dyscrasias, liver cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma/non-Hodgkins lymphoma, melanoma, multiple myeloma, ovarian/uterine cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, infusion center, inpatient oncology, outpatient oncology.

Special Requests: No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
