Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
9 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Call Requirements: Required

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Patient Ratios : 1:1 and 1:2 (ACOG/AWHONN guidelines)

Scheduling requirements: modified self-scheduling. They can give us desired shifts and we balance the schedule.

Floating policy: As needed to antepartum

Must have: Ability to care for high risk antepartum, labor, and recovery patients. Must be able to check a cervix

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed:

Advanced FM is a plus. RNC-OB is a plus. Neither are required

If you can scrub a section, that is great.

Place internal monitors is a plus

Patient Experience Required: Labor care

Scrub Color RN: We provide hospital scrubs Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc. Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab. Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited. This includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.

Floating Guidelines: May float to ante/gyn
