  • One year of interventional Cardiology Lab experience
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures
  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Procedural Responsibilities
  • Equipment set up, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, Scrub - maintain sterile field, Infection Control
  • Sterile Technique

Required Credentials:

  • Graduate of accredited radiology school RT (R)
  • Current and valid Driver’s License or Government Photo ID with address preferred, but highly recommended by client to have on file.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Scrub procedures, Coronary angiography, AICD Placement, ECMO, IABP Placement/Removal, Permanent pacemaker insertion, Loop recorders, Watchmans, Atrial Fibrillation, Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Optimal Coherence Tomography (OCT), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI): balloon angioplasty, stent placement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Valvuloplasty (aortic, mitral, pulmonic), Atherectomy (coronary and peripheral), Thrombolysis and thromboaspiration, Closure of septal defects (ASD, PFO, VSD), Coil embolization, Pericardiocentesis, Implantation of ventricular assist devices, IVC filter placement and extraction

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics

Equipment Used on Unit: Atherectomy devices, IVUS, Rota, Shockwave, Laser

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend Required
  • With On-Call

Floating Requirements: While very rare, traveler may be subject to floating between facilities within the health system if requested by their unit.
