Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

58 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license

Additional Information

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: 2 shifts of 8 hours and 2 shifts of 12 hours per week. Shifts will be scheduled between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 5 years of overall OR experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to cardiac and vascular procedures.

Must be competent to circulate and scrub

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and OR protocols.

This position requires scrub. Please confirm that your traveler is comfortable scrubbing and rates 3/4s in scrubbing CV/PV/Heart and Lung transplant.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics

Unit Details: Number of Rooms 7, Number of Beds 7

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: The Ross heart Hospital focuses on those needing heart and vascular care/surgery and interventions. Common open cases include: CABG, Valves, AAA, Ascending and descending dissection's, amputations, fistulas, first ribs and ecmo. Common endovascular cases: TVAR, EVAR, TAVR, fistulograms, angiograms, aortograms, radiofrequency ablations etc. plus others

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Previous Employment Requirements:

Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
