Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 3 years.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from last 12 months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 1st time travelers allowed if 3 YOE in high acuity hospital. Can consider candidate with strong level II experience. Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 YOE CV required. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Administration of blood & blood products, Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, TPN/Lipids, Acute/chronic renal failure, Urinary catheter insertion/management, Anti-Seizure Medications, Antiarrhythmics, Continuous Sedation, IV vasopressors, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Assist/maintain chest tube, Assist/manage intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care, Ventilator Management, Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP), Hemodynamic monitoring, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, External ventricular drain (EVD), Hydrocephalus/VP shunt, Hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, Neuromuscular disease, Post neurosurgery, Extremity Fracture/Cast, Infection control/PPE, Vaccine Administration, Wound assessment/care, Insulin administration, IV Insulin Pumps, Management of gastric tubes, NG tube insertion/ management, Isolation Precautions, Pediatric CVICU, PICU.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Phlebotomy, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Peritoneal dialysis, Pre/Post Hemodialysis, Congenital Heart Disease/Repair, ECMO, Insertion/Management of Pulmonary Artery Pressure (PAP) line, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team, Post cardiac surgery, Post acute abdominal surgery.

Required Credentials: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Preferred Credentials: Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Unit/Facility Details: Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.

Special Requests: RTO: If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off).

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Evening, 12 hour shift, 7:00am-7:30pm. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
