RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. Open book exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
Weekend Requirements: Every other
Holiday Requirements: Varies, based on unit needs
Floating Requirements: Will float to PCU and Medical floors
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2, if we do have downgrades we staff the medical patients at 1:5 and PCU at 1:4
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuro
RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, Sedatives
RNs must read and interpret strips.
Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
