Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

PALS (Required)

TNCC (Required)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: General nursing skills

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of nursing experience; Teaching Hospital experience

Shift & Scheduling: 7a, 8a, 9a

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend on a rotation. Weekends for all shifts with the exception of 7p-7a is Sat/Sun

Holiday Requirements: Yes, every other or based on department needs. This is negotiable based on their contract request.

No call requirement for travelers.

Floating Requirements: Can be floated to be "help all's" on other units. This is very rare and typically not the travelers who are floated. This is new since covid and not something that happens frequently. An ED nurse would not be expected to take a team on another unit. If floated they would be a help all.
