Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, dependent on experience. Must have a strong background in MST. Skills required: Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels, and experience reading telemetry strips, Chest tubes, traches, PIV starts, drain & tubes, PCA pumps, Gtts management – Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Heparin.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Free employee parking.

Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours are available. Weekend Rotation: Every Other. Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays.

Floating Requirements: To other MedSurg units.
