Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Preferred 12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Experience with Alaris is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend

No call required.

Float Requirement: Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation

Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing;

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year of general nursing experience

IMC/PCU level experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, titratable vasoactive drips, proficient in chest ports

Types of Patients:

Oncology patients: surgical, new diagnosis, Oncology complications

Medical overflow

Intermediate level of care with telemetry monitoring

Patients receiving prolonged chemotherapy infusions (multiple days)

TPE patients (based on staffing availability)

Orientation: (facility and unit)

Facility - Monument Health traveler orientation

Online education

Unit – 2 orientation shifts with qualified preceptor from department

Previous Employment Requirements: Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

1st time traveler must have Epic Experience, Will accept first time travelers if greater than 1 year experience.

Unit Details: PCU/IMC RN needed – this is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg – please ensure traveler understands and note this in offer.
