Med Surg /Tele Float - Required

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating Days / Eves / Nights, The shifts are a combination of 8 and 12 hours shifts

Holiday coverage required

Every 4 week period will have one week consisting of one 12hr shift and three 8 hours shifts in a 4-week schedule.

May rotate within the same week, but the facility tries not to do this. If they do, they will give a few days between the rotation from days or eves to nights.

Every other weekend required

No on-call

No blocked scheduling requests or specific days off, week over week, will be approved

Preferred Skills / Experience: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise

Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit: 12 lead EKGs, lasix gtt, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring.

Unit Details: 15 medical surgical units; 600 bed facility

Supporting 15 medical surgical units, specializing in neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery gyn, gu, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys and or vascular

Patient Ratio: Days - 1/4, Nights - 1/6

Others: Travel RNs are assigned to a unit either in a 2-3 week period and some weeks can receive assignment 2 hours before shift

Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday)

Parking can cost up to $43/day if working days. Public transportation is available.

Special Requirements: BILH coversheet required at time of submission

All RTO requests must be presented at the time of submission.

Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted. Must be separated from facility for six months to be considered.
