Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Must have at least 18 months of Emergency Department experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Adult Emergency Department

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of RECENT Level I or II ED experience and/or 2+ years of RECENT Level 3/4 ED experience.
  • Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks and pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85+%).

Preferred Skills/Experience: Critical care experience

Required Credentials: Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting. 3 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it's within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other Weekend and Holiday.

Floating Requirements: (must be flexible with floating to areas: Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for age 15+ patients in pedi unless previous pedi experience)

Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.
