Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend Hours: rotating
  • On Call Requirements: no
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

**Floating Requirements:**Float Requirements: yes, may work on 4 different units

Unit Details:

  • Number of Beds: 77

Types of Patients on Unit:

  • Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Required Credentials:

  • Required Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or relevant state licensure required.
