Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

• Telemetry and Vents Experience

• IV therapy, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous Charge Experience

• Community Hospital Experience

• Accessing/Managing Ports, Phlebotomy.

Required Credentials:

• Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

• Dysrhythmia / EKG Competency Exam

• Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Special Requests: Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekends and holidays required per unit needs.

• Weekend Coverage: Every Other

• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Floating Requirements: Will float to IMC / PCU.
