Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
22 months of Postpartum experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license

Additional Details:

Mother-Baby/Couplet Care

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

May float to unit as similar acuity.

Float Required: Yes MSC (antepartum-team nursing) - will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed

Weekend Coverage: Every Other

Minimum 2 year of postpartum experience

Must have IV start skills and labor & delivery (L&D) experience

Orientation Hours: 36

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults

Patient Diagnoses: Postpartum patients: Vaginal Delivery, C/S Delivery. Postpartum readmits: Wound infection, Preeclampsia. Healthy Newborns, NAS infants

Please note: All candidates must be made aware of the urgency of the Ohio Fingerprinting process. Candidates must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign contract. Travelers who are unresponsive or uncooperative with credentialing are at risk of push/cancel.

RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
