Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Additional Details:

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Shift: Mid shifts either 8a, 9a or 10a

HOUSING: Confirm the candidate has looked into housing in the area with the submittal. Leads available.

Separate triage area. We would prefer travelers be trained to triage.

Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER: Intermixed.

On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day: 15,500 visits per year, seasonal fluctuation (averages out to about 40/day for context).

Nurse/Patient Ratios: From 11p-8a 2 RNs, add an RN at 8-8 and from 11a-11p.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variable

Experience: ER & urgent care experience.

Shifts & Scheduling: No, we do not allow self scheduling. There is the potential for block scheduling if requested. All 12 hour shifts. Shift will depend on the need.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.

Holiday Requirements: Rotating Holidays.

Is there call or a standby requirement: No

Floating Requirements: Not for ER travelers at this time.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Charcoal/pewter gray scrubs. Any style.

Unit/Department specific orientation: Dependent on individual person.
