No Blocking Schedules

Teaching Hospital Experience preferred

Shift: Day/Night, 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am. Monday through Friday and required to work 2-3 weekends per 6-week pay period.

Experience:

Level 4 NICU experience required, or level III that included some surgical and trach vent management

Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents, various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation

At least one year in a level IV NICU or level III NICU meeting above requirements.

Telemetry

Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Patient Diagnoses: We are a level IV NICU. We care for high acuity neonates with diagnosis including neonates who require surgery, including abdominal, genitourinary, head and neck, thoracic, heart and vascular or musculoskeletal, who have suffered a brain injury or stroke, have seizures or other neurologic disorders, require diagnostic imaging, such as an MRI, were born prematurely, have congenital heart disease, require cardiac catheterization, or those with metabolic or genetic disorders.

Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday, but not all travelers will start on a Monday even if the contract has a Monday start. This is due to department specific orientation schedules. Travelers should follow the start date and time listed in their welcome letter and department schedule. Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change – traveler should follow instructions in welcome letter). Orientation is typically about one week. Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher
