Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

NRP (Required)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

RNs only: Cannot have a license that is on probation, suspended, or has board proceedings that are pending.

Travel pairs are not supported - each clinician must apply and receive an offer separately

Orientation: 9/23 or 10/7 end date 1/3/26

Shift & Schedule: Self-Scheduling: Plug travelers where they are needed most in the first schedule and the let them participate in the self-scheduling once they arrive

Weekend Requirements: Do 4 weekend shifts per schedule periods which is 4 weeks.

Call Requirements: No

Required Skill / Experience: Must be comfortable with level III neonates

Preferred Credential: HFOV

Unit Details: Approx. 225 births/month. 35 bassinets

Patient Population: Prematurity, Rule out sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Occasional postoperative patients

Travel nurses are expected to admit NICU patients. We have neonatologists who are here during day time hours 7 days/week.
