Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience – must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast paced environment experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino device (ICP and temp monitoring device), Belmont Rapid Infuser, management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, management of invasive lines – ART lines/CVP, aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, HOFV management, oral/nasal suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, sedation and analgesic drip management, Foley insertion and management, Alaris & Medfusion pump management, bedside procedures with providers, discharge skills, CRRT experience

Special Requests: RTO: Manager approval

Shift & Scheduling: EOW, alternate major holidays. No call for travelers, if the PICU cannot utilize them, they may be floated to PCVICU, Peds Progressive, NICU or general Peds units within LCH. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Floating Requirements: Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, Gen Peds – will float as needed
