Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of PCU Float Pool experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

1-2 years experience as long as proficient with neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips. Must have Cardizem, amio, and heparin drip experience.
Must be able to read/interpret strips and pass ECG exam.

Required Credentials: References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Unit and facility details: Ratios: PCU - 1:4 may go to 5, Medical and Surgical- 1:5, may go to 1:6 (rarely).

Special Requests: All time off must be included on submission to be considered. Time off not included on submission will not be requested or approved.

Shift & Scheduling: Minimum of 4 weekends shifts in a 6-week period and Holiday team will work if there is a need.

Floating Requirements: Will be required to float to ALL PCU/Tele Units within Inova Alexandria Hospital (IAH). Overflow, Medical, and Surgical floors to meet the needs of the hospital- can work a different unit every shift.
