Shift: Variable shifts (0700-1930, 1500-0330, or 1900-0730), but majority of shifts would be 1500-0330 or 1900-0730
Up to 2 out of 3 weekends; may be required to work July 4th and Labor Day holidays
Floating to over units/departments: Primarily hours in Women’s Center dept; float to General Medical unit if census low in OB
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: 12 bed unit – 2 triage, 5 LRDP, 5 overflow postpartum/gyn surgical
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: 1:2-3 mom/baby couplets; 1:2 early labor, 1:1 active labor, 1:3 post-op
General job duties/Types of procedures required: Care of OB triage, labor & delivery, postpartum, well-newborn and special care nursery (IV, antibiotics, short-term respiratory support – CPAP or O2) and GYN surgical patient
Required skills and minimum years of experience: interpretation of fetal monitor strips; attendance at vaginal delivery, immediate care and resuscitation of newborn
MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.
