Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New York license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)

Unit Details:

  • We have PCT’s on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG’s and any sort of activity of daily living • We have an in-house phlebotomy team that does all peripheral lab draws nursing is responsible for PICC lines and central lines

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend REQ: Every Other weekend -Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? No

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: DKA, Acute Respiratory needs (BiPap, High Flow, Vent/Trachs), ETOH Withdrawl, Sepsis, CPORTS, Nursing intensive/heavy

Equipment Used on Unit: CADDS, PCA Pumps

Required Skills/Experience: Special Requirements: Tele required, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
