Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Required)

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

Minimum one year recent Telemetry experience.
Must have some experience with TR Bands straight from procedure.
Some experience with Cardiac Drips (Olathe mainly does, Heparin some Butamax, Lasix and Cardizem).
Some experience with the Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Two to five years of TEL experience.

Unit/Facility Details:

TUKHS is a nicotine-free facility.
Orientation Requirements: THP will attend the fist 2 days of orientation at the KUKC Campus, on day 3 THP will attend Olathe orientation and Director of Nursing training, Day 4 Olathe Director of Nursing training, Day 5 THP will attend virtual Epic training if they are unable to test out.

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend Rotation: Every Other
On-Call Requirements: None
Holiday Requirements: Based on Unit Needs

Floating Requirements: Floating Requirements: Will float to all acute care units.
