Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 4 years.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

BLS (Required)

PALS (Preferred)

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Every other weekend

Weekend Requirement: every other or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

First to Float - Floating: Not required but they can float to tele or OB if they want and have that experience

Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days, one of those days - half of the day is spent doing a scavenger hunt

Scrub Color: navy

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: medsurg patients, COPD, post-op, GI bleeds, OBGYN surgeries, ortho

Must have 2-3 years in specialty, very fast paced unit, patients move in and out quickly, avg length of stay is 3 days, may see protonix or heparin drip, pediatric experience preferred, if traveler does not have that experience they will not take pediatric patients
