All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).
If your traveler has worked for any Providence affiliated facility as a perm staff – they must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel contract.
Must have case management and discharge experience. Utilization management experience is helpful but not required.

Case Management/Assessment Exp: -Admission Criteria, Conduct Initial Eval, Develop Plan of Care/Care coordination, Discharge Planning, Utilize InterQual Criteria, Utilize Milliman Guidelines, Appeals and Denials, Concurrent Review, Continued Stay Reviews, Medical Necessity, Retrospective Review required. -Assess Response to Treatment, Biopsychosocial Assessment, Geriatric Depression Scale, Mini-Mental State Examination preferred.
Care Coord Exp: -Coordinate Services - Home Care, Document Info to Facilitate Care Coord, Participates in Care Conference Activities, Referrals to Rehab and LTC Facilities, Refers to Other Disciplines/Resources required.
Documentation/Communication Exp: -Documentation According to Plan of Care, Documentation of Care Delivery/Plan/Goals/etc, Documentation Reflects Understanding of Coverage Criteria required. -Preferred Discharge Summary, Documentation of Patient/Caregiver Teaching/Learning
Major Disease Processes Exp: -Dementia, Stroke required. -Cancer, CHF, COPD, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, Immune Deficiency, Neurological Disorders, Paralysis, Psychiatric Disorders preferred.

BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
