Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

6 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from the last 12 months

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Rotating holidays. No block scheduling.

Required Skills/Experience: Post-surgical drains, Central line care/maintenance, Foley insertion, G tubes/J tubes/NG tubes/PEG tubes, IV medication administration/IV push, Wound care, O2 therapy. Must have telemetry experience.

Unit Details: Kingsbury is a 27-bed medical-surgical unit, caring for inpatients at Cheshire Medical Center with a variety of medical conditions as well as post-operative patients.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient population is primarily the elderly but can be as young as 18. Common diagnoses include post op ortho, general surgery, ETOH, CHF and pneumonia.
