Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Preferred 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
3 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other-but not guaranteed, No On-Call

Unit Details: Beds: 39 – MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU – mixed unit- All one ICU divided into pods- would not float into CVICU side unless experienced in that unit/specialty

Types of Patients on Unit: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma – heavy trauma population

Required Skills/Experience: Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac experience, Post Op Experience , Impella, IABP and CRRT

Floating Requirements: ICU RN qualified to float to ED, to any adult floor – including Medsurg/Tele with 1:4 ratio.

Previous Employment Requirements: Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
