Skills: Abdominal pain, Asthma, Burns, Epiglottitis, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Near drowning, Poison ingestion, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Spinal cord injury, Urinary tract infections, Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Psychiatric Hold, Suicidal patient, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation, Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Isolation Precautions, Triage, Manage / apply splints.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatrics: Near drowning. Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring.

Required Credentials: Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.

Unit/Facility Details: Saint Luke’s is a Nicotine free (this includes patches, gum, vape, etc.) Health System – all travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Coverage: Every Third
• Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: At least 4

Floating Requirements: May float to all SLHS Metro ED’s. Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
