Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 12 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience.
BSN completion preferred
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Required Skills/Experience: PACU experience required for Main/Endo PACU contract.

2 years of experience: Telemetry and Vents, PACU experience or combination of PACU and ICU or high acuity ED experience

IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, PICC line care and management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Airway assessment, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tube management, Fresh tracheostomy, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Arterial line management, Central Venous Pressure (CVP), Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, AV fistula/shunt, Renal surgery, TURP, Cardiac, ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Neuro/Spine, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total joints, Plastics, Transplant, Urology, Vascular, Circulation Checks, Colon surgery, Conscious Sedation, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Post-epidural management, Spinal, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Hyperglycemia/Hypoglycemia Protocols, Insulin protocols, Inpatient, Phase I PACU, Isolation Precautions, Pain assessment & management, PCA pump and management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale).

Preferred Skills/Experience: PACU experience preferred but ICU experience accepted for Endo PACU contracts.

Teaching Hospital Experience

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Special Requests: Travelers are required to work a full work week between/around RTO

No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: Sunday through Saturday (Sun/M/Tues/W/Th/F/Sat)

Floating Requirements: Per competency within Pre& Post Op Departments
