Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Vascular, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement), Cardiovascular, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), ECMO insertion/decannulation, Endoscopic vein harvesting, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Surgical First Assist Skills, Apply tourniquet as ordered, Assist to secure drainage system to tissue, Clamping/cauterizing vessels or tissues, Counting sponges & related items with circulating nurse, Cut Tissue, Digital manipulation of tissue, Direct digital pressure, Dissect common femoral artery and bifurcate, Harvest saphenous vein, including skin incision, Insert drainage tubes, Manipulation of surgical materials (loops, tags), Starting Peripheral IV’s, Suctioning, irrigation, sponging, Suturing all wound layers including muscle and fascia, Tying/ligating clamped vessels or tissues, Wound dressing; liquid or spray occlusive, Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Sterilization/Disinfection, Surgery Cases, Cardiac, CVOR, Transplant, Heart, Thoracic, Lung resection, Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery).

Required Credentials: Endoscopic vein harvesting. Cert: ABSA or NBSTSA or NCCT. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Special Requests: Please note that the facility needs help through all Mardi Gras, so please minimize any RTO requests from 2/13 - 2/22.

Shift & Scheduling: Call Requirements: Typically every third day Monday - Thursday between 3:30pm - 7am. Weekend call will be every third week. Weekend call is as follows: Friday - on call from 3:30p - 7a. Saturday - Sunday call will be 7a - 7a. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (subject to change to every third or forth).

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
