Required Skills/Experience:
• 2 Years ICU, Med/Surg, or ER exp.
• 1 Year Ambulatory Care Exp Including Phone Triage, Rooming, and Urgent referral Review
• Assessment, Height/Weight, Interpretation of laboratory results, Pain assessment, Patient Health Questionnaire/History/Allergies, Pulse Oximetry, Obtain Vital Signs, Mask Fit Testing, Set Up and Assist with Procedures, Dressing Change, Set up aseptic /sterile procedure trays, Medications/Immunizations Administration, Office Duties, Authorization Forms, Disability forms, Referrals, Telephone Triage, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Universal precautions, Cardiovascular, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Eyes/ Ears/ Nose/Throat
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Prior Teaching Hospital Experience, Trauma Level 1 experience
• Ambulatory Otolaryngology exp including head, neck conditions and tracheostomy care.
• Experience performing blood draws for PRP and assisting with procedures.
• Dermatology, Family Care clinic, General Surgery, Triage, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Medication reconciliation, Skin biopsy, Stitches, Suture Removal, Immunizations, Insurance Verification, Biohazard waste disposal, Follow up phone calls, Imaging results, Medication refills, Patient Teaching, Venipuncture, Ear irrigation, Foreign body
Required Credentials:
• RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply
• Drivers License/State ID: Current and valid DL, government photo ID, or US Passport. Identity must match professional license.
Special Requests:
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• Travel Pairs: travel pairs are allowed, but generally will not be on the same unit. Married couples may not work on the same unit
Shift & Scheduling: Monday - Friday
Floating Requirements:
• Ability to float to other UCSF Facilities.
• At any time during assignment, resources may be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility (within 75+ radius) if the resource satisfies the requisite Job Specifications. Please ensure this is discussion at time of submission, and time of offer.
