Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? L&D: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 couplets, 1:3-4 surgical/medical
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy, accept 23+ weeks; Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes, No cardiac intervention- they will take occasional higher risk patients, Post partum vaginal and c-section deliveries, hysterectomy, bladder repairs, mastectomies
Experience or 'Must have' skills: OK with first time travelers, do expect them to jump right in, must be able to titrate drips
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: pitocin, mag, occasional Insulin drips
Commonly seen other medications: procardia, labetolol push, TXA- hemorrhage, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, cervidil
Do RNs scrub? Yes, prefer if they are able to scrub
Weekend Requirements: every third
Holiday Requirements: as needed
Is there a call or standby requirement?: n/a, optional overtime opportunities
Floating Requirements: Peds MS, NICU- feeder-growers or could float to med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2x12hr shifts on the unit
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Annual Skills Checklist is required for submission and can't expire during the expected contract dates.
