Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 Year Required and IV Starts. Will take MS/Tele, PCU level experience. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Med/Surg, Nasal Cannula, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, Surgical drains, Wound Care/Wound Vac, experience of 3 or 4 on the scale (Ortho, Neuro).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele.
Required Credentials: Temporary licenses may be obtainable once perm license applications have been submitted. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.
Shift & Scheduling: Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract. Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need.
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.
