Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

4x12 or 3x12s

First-timers accepted: Yes

Will work every third weekend

On-call Required: No

Will float to other Med Surg departments as needed

Block Schedules: No

Special Requirements: Telemetry experience preferred. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: PICC Line Management, Starting IVs.

Scrub Color: Any solid color

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses: orthopedic elective surgeries such as total joint replacement hips, knees, shoulders, spine surgeries, trauma patients needing many orthopedic surgical interventions, osteomyelitis and other infections involving skin and bone needing long term IV antibiotics

Special Procedures/Unit Details: traction, bedside debridement, complex dressing changes

Special Equipment: slings, walkers, canes, traction, casts, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, hospital beds, PAS boot machines, vital sign monitors, vein finder

Candidate Must Work 2 Out Of 3 Major Holidays.

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
