Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: **Must have CURRENT PICU exp noted in work history. Renal /Genitourinary, Urinary catheter insertion/management, Work Settings, PICU, Respiratory, Assist/manage intubation, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Cardiovascular, Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, and Management of dysrhythmias.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Highly preferred 2 years experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Acute/chronic renal failure*, Administration of blood & blood products*, Arterial line management*, Central line blood draw*, Central Line/Implanted Line Care*, Phlebotomy*, PICC line management*, Starting and maintaining IVs*, Anti-Seizure Medications*, Antiarrhythmics*, Continuous Sedation*, IV vasopressors*, Pediatric Dosage Calculations*, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring*, Use of Broselow system*, Assist/maintain chest tube*, BiPAP/CPAP*, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring*, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Tracheostomy care*, Ventilator Management*, ICP monitoring*, Infection control/PPE*, Vaccine Administration*, Wound assessment/care*, Insulin administration*, IV Insulin Pumps*, Management of gastric tubes*, NG tube insertion/ management*, Post acute abdominal surgery*, and Isolation Precautions*.

Unit/Facility Details: Holiday positon. First time travelers will be considered on a case by case basis. Typically unit wants first time travelers with more than 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Special Requests: Must start by 12/1 - No RTO.

Shift & Scheduling: 3x12s or 4x12s. Weekend Coverage: Every Other.

Floating Requirements: Will float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas. May Float to other ICU units as well as MedSurg units. Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.
