Previous Employment Requirements: Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.
Required Skills/Experience: Able to monitor tele patients. Admits and discharges.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Ortho patients.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
• Unit sees medical, surgical and ortho patients. From time to time, will also get some behave health patients. Assessment, Care Plan, Education, Medication Administration, Wound Care, Communication with Interdisciplinary Care Team.
• Types of procedures required. General nursing to include chest tube management, trach cares assisting with paracentesis or thoracentesis, care of behavioral health patient with a medical emergency.
Equipment Used on Unit: AccuDose for medication system, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, Overbed Lift, SCDs, Glucometers, Space Labs Vitals Machines.
Unit/Facility Details:
• 41 beds; 12 semi-private rooms, 29 private rooms
• Ratios: Days: 4-5:1 and Nights: 12 5-6:1
• All clinicians must badge in and out at facility.

Shift & Scheduling:
• D/N rotate.
• Every other weekend and holiday
Floating Requirements: Only if not needed in Med Surg department, potential to float to Telemetry, Observation, Acute Rehab, Post-Partum is very low. Per union contracts, travelers will be first to float.
