Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)/Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Block Schedules: Yes

May screen strong MS RN candidates with 1.5 to < 2 years MS exp, who acquire that 1.5+ yrs in a steady flow (not a cumulative total across different jobs)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Skills Preferred: Charge RN experience

Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses: any medical surgical diagnoses

Address must match DL when determining local status

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
