Post Surgical Care Unit - Required

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Every Other Weekend

Every Other Holiday

Float: To all inpatient units; would be given appropriate patient assignments.

Specialty Floats: Intermediate Care, MedSurg / Tele, Intensive Care Unit

Required:

Must have recent hospital experience.

Certification: AACN

Provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients.

Patient Ratio: Days - 1/4-5, Nights, 1/5-7

Fast paced post-surgical unit that averages 10-15 admissions per day with the highest occurring on Day/PM.

Occupancy of unit is 90-95 % during the week with average length of stay 2 – 3 days (except joints).

Dress Code: Scrubs - Any Color

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
