Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

12 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license

Additional Details:

Must have recent experience at a Level One Trauma Facility.

Please note that should you receive an offer for this position, you will have 48 hours to accept/decline.

Must be willing to fulfill a full 13 week contract.

Candidates should expect to work 2-3 of the 4 Summer Holidays (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, and Labor Day).

Any RTO should be provided at time of submission to be considered.

Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 6

Orientation Hours: 48

Patient Age Groups: Adults

Daily Census: 12

Patient Diagnoses: Penetrating wounds; MVCs; emergency surgical patients; solid abdominal organ transplants including livers, kidneys, and pancreas; whipples; head and neck surgical cancer patients; colorectal/ oncology surgical patients

Compliance requirements: Must pass EKG Onboarding exam, NIHSS, Advanced Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, General ICU Competency exam, Trauma ICU Competency exam, General ICU skills, Trauma ICU skills, CORE exams

RTO - must be presented at time of submission. Any time off sent after the offer will not be approved.

Return Staff Policy: Gone for 90 days to return as traveler

License Hits: University of Kentucky WILL NOT accept any licensure hits.

BLS and ACLS RQI accepted
