Required Skills / Experience: 2 years of strong Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience
EVDs, Camino device (ICP and temp monitoring device), management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, management of invasive lines – ART lines/CVP, aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, HOFV management, oral/nasal suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, sedation and analgesic drip management, foley insertion and management, Alaris and Medfusion pump management, bedside procedures with providers, discharge skills, CRRT experience, baby side of ECMO (manager has been flexible on EVD, ICP, ECMO, and CRRT exp)
Required Credentials: Education: ASN / BSN
Shift & Scheduling: No call for travelers, if the NICU cannot utilize them, they may be floated to similar units as listed above
Will be required to work 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays, plus every other weekend (Sat/Sun) every 6-week schedule
The combination of the 2 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week period
Travelers will work holidays as scheduled
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks based on unit needs after team schedule is completed/approved. Clinical Supervisor will provide dates of needs.
Floating Requirements: Neonatal PCU Gen Peds – will float as needed to Pediatric CVICU, PICU, and general Peds unit as a helping hand unless they have prior experience in any of these populations
