Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 4 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wyoming license or compact license

Additional Details:

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: COPD, psych, detox, oncologic emergencies (neutropenic fevers), blood transfusions, failure to thrive, falls, everything you would see on a medical unit.

Types of Patients on Unit: Pretty typical medical patients.

Unit/Facility Details: Beds: 24 Beds - All private

Special Requests: Do allow block scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling:

-Shifts start 1845.

-Manager would like someone to work Sun, Mon, Tues for night shift.

-Every other weekend - 4 weekend shifts a month. Night shift is Friday and Saturday. If the traveler blocks for Sun Mon Tues - the weekend requirement would not be required.

-Does not have specific needs for Holidays - but could be possible if there is a need. Wants flexible travelers.

-On call has been done sometimes. They have an on call system and if they are on call they can be called in at any point.

-Really have needs for the holiday season - for night shift.

Floating Requirements: Float to the inpatient units - Tele, surgical ortho neuro, medical unit, etc. Would be required to take care of the medical patients and not the specialty patients. Floating frequency varies. Floating rotation with the perm staff.
