Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience with 6 months within the past 12 months.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Charge experience.
- Non Trauma Emergency Department, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Ventilated patients, Triage.
Types of Patients on Unit:
- Wide range of patients from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. Most of the area is economically depressed.
- Pedi Pts. 5%
Equipment Used on Unit: US, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware hand held devices.
Unit/Facility Details:
- 190 beds
- Level 2 trauma center with 4 Critical care bays. Teleneurology for stroke in cooperation with Mass General Hospital
- No PICU - transfer out.
- Chest pain center, primary stroke center.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Hours: No guarantee for weekends off. However we work really hard for a fair schedule
Floating Requirements: Required to float to ED Holding.
