Floating Requirements: ICU RNs will float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders -They may also float to Women’s and Family if needed, at this facility, they will only be assigned to the ICU. They will receive an orientation for this. RNs are normally assigned 24 hours in advance to any unit/hospital; however, they can be pulled mid-shift to float to any unit or hospital.
