Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Preferred Certification: CEN or CPN

Weekend req: May exceed every other. Must be available to work at least 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle which may include a shift every weekend

On call req: No

Open to accommodating block schedule? Per manager discretion

Guaranteed Hours: facility is able to call off once per two weeks pay period

Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Orientation Hours: 12

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics

Patient Diagnoses:

• All ages, respiratory, stroke, abdominal pain, cardiac
• Stroke and Stemi Center
• Magnet Designated

Special Procedures/Unit: Procedures, wound care, titrate drips, dialysis, 10 % peds patients

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD)

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission

Return Staff Policy: can return after 3 months

Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

Proof of ID: Driver's License/State ID

BLS, ACLS, PALS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
