Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from the last 3 years
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a California license

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend but may need to work more

Holidays: 2 out of 3 majors

Call: Travelers will not be asked to take call (transport call)

All NICU Travelers are required to float to Peds and Postpartum. They will take a patient assignment including couplet care in Postpartum. First to float.

Unit: NICU Level 3

Ratios: 1 to 1, 1 to 2 ,1 to 3

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 22 weeks to term; no neonatal surgeries; high volume sepsis and respiratory; high volume preemies; significant amount of drug withdrawal babies; syphilis babies; very busy unit w/ very sick babies; large volume of IV's and TPN

All my Journey modules need to be completed prior to arrival.

Additional Notes: No ECMO, have a delivery nurse and RT which attend the high risks; must be comfortable working with surrogates.
