Required Skills/Experience: Willing to consider any candidate with 2 solid years (and at least 1 completed travel assignment) of CVOR- can be adults or pediatrics. Skills: CVOR, Pediatric Cardiovascular, Pediatric Transplant, Infection control, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization, exp with congenital heart disease.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Pedi CVOR, Arterial switch operation, ASD/VSD repair, Coarctaction of the aorta repair, ECMO insertion/decannulation, Epstein’s Anomaly repair, Fontan procedure, Norwood procedure, PDA ligation, Tetralogy of Fallot Repair, Transposition of the Great Arteries repair, Valve Repair/Replacement, Ventricular Assist Device Implant, Heart, Lung, Cell saver, Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Tourniquet, Assist Anesthesia during induction, Cardiac Monitoring, Electrosurgical Safety, Implants (documenting/tracking), Instrument Processing, Radiation Safety, Regulatory Charting for Transplants.
Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.
Shift & Scheduling: On call Requirement: the call requirement is 1 weekend/month and 1-2 weeknights/week. Probably 8-9 days/month overall.
Floating Requirements: Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.
